The United States Army was one of the major branches of the U.S. military alongside the Air Force. They appeared in the opening titles of Army of the Dead.

Las Vegas outbreak[]
When the zombie outbreak occurred in Las Vegas, the army was sent in to deal with the unnatural threat. The battles, which would colloquially come to be known as the zombie wars, eventually stagnated, and the city was walled off. The army forces retreated.[1]
