Milwaukee was the most populous city in the U.S. state of Wisconsin prior to its zombie outbreak in 2004. Its current state is unknown. It was briefly mentioned in a news story displayed on Marianne Peters' phone in Army of the Dead.

In 2004 a zombie outbreak occurred in the city. When the nuclear strike on Las Vegas was announced four years later, new information was revealed about the Milwaukee outbreak as well.[1]
Trivia[]
- The Milwaukee outbreak is a clear reference to Zack Snyder's first feature film, Dawn of the Dead, which came out in 2004 and took place in Milwaukee County. This is likely the sole reason the city is mentioned in Army of the Dead.
